Changes to Veronica’s Veil Players |

Change is a necessary part of life and no one or no thing is immune to it. This includes Veronica's Veil. Over the years, even during the lifetime of the authors Father Bernardine and Father Conrad, there were many revisions to the script. These revisions were necessary to bring the Passion Play 'up-to-date' and in line with the norms of the Vatican Council on sacred drama.
The seven parishes that once ministered to the Catholics of the South Side have been merged into one reorganized parish. Five of the churches once used for worship have been closed, including St. Michael's. Many of the former members of St. Michael's parish have vowed to help to continue this inspiring Lenten tradition. |
